Can you picture a beach with calm, warm, crystal clear waters, tall coconut trees, a unique atmosphere that provides a lot of piece and quiet? Now, on its seashore, also picture a little white chapel dedicated to Saint Benedict, in an amazing place on the sand and surrounded by coconut trees. Sounds like paradise, doesn’t it?
Recognized by TripAdvisor as one of the best beaches in Brazil, Carneiros Beach is located in the city of Tamandaré, Pernambuco. 120 km away from Recife and 55 km north of Maragogi, Carneiros Beach is almost on the border of the states of Alagoas and Pernambuco.
Access to it is a little complicated, since part of the road isn’t paved and exits to the beach often take you to the most famous bars in the area. Bora Bora, for example, is located in one of the nicest parts of the area and provides travelers who visit the beach with full comfortable facilities. Another way to get access to the beach would be one of the tours by boat from Tamandaré Beach.
The beach has been intact so far, that is, both the owners of the few farms and of the developments built in the area are environmentally aware and committed to preserving the beach to keep its natural beauty.
